Support Strategies for Students with ADHD and/or Autism

When it comes to building a neuro-inclusive music education practice, you might be thinking, “I know the why. But HOW?”

When my undergraduate students asked me this question, I struggled to find lived experience-based resources that could provide “The How” in a way that explained the rationale behind the strategies from the neurodivergent student’s perspective. So I made one!

This document contains strategies for autistic students and students with ADHD. I compiled these strategies from my research exploring lived experiences of music educators with ADHD along with my own lived experience as an autistic and ADHD music educator.
